Our team

Meet the people behind your next step.

Understanding your child's sleep, breathing, and dental development starts with a conversation. Get to know the people who help families ask questions, understand the process, and explore appropriate next steps.

Portrait of Dr. Maya Bennett

Dr. Maya Bennett

Dentist • Pediatric airway focus

Dr. Bennett helps families understand the dental side of their child's sleep, breathing, and development questions. At an initial visit, she discusses the observations parents bring, explains what the dental evaluation includes, and considers whether another clinician should be involved. Her role is to help families understand the findings and the available next steps before deciding on a care plan.

What you can discuss

  • Questions about teeth, bite, and oral development.
  • What a dental evaluation can help clarify.
  • Whether coordination with your child's pediatrician or other clinicians makes sense.

What a first conversation helps clarify: An initial conversation helps clarify whether a dental evaluation makes sense now, and who else may be useful to involve.

Portrait of Jordan Ellis

Jordan Ellis

Myofunctional therapist

Jordan helps families understand the role of oral habits and a myofunctional evaluation within a coordinated care plan. A conversation may include questions about everyday habits, what a visit involves, and how recommended activities would fit family routines. Jordan works alongside the dentist when appropriate and helps parents understand the purpose of any proposed next step.

What you can discuss

  • Questions about oral habits and daily routines.
  • What a myofunctional visit involves.
  • How this role fits alongside the dentist and other clinicians.

What a first conversation helps clarify: An initial conversation helps clarify whether habits are worth looking at, and how a myofunctional visit would fit alongside other care.

Working together around your child

A family may only need one of us; who is involved depends on your child's needs. When it helps, we coordinate with your child's existing clinicians, such as their pediatrician, ear-nose-and-throat doctor or sleep physician, so everyone shares the same picture.

Many questions don't lead to dental treatment. Sometimes the most useful next step is a conversation with your pediatrician, and we'll tell you when that's the case.

What happens if we talk?

  1. 1Share the observations and questions that matter to you.
  2. 2Discuss whether an evaluation is an appropriate next step.
  3. 3Understand what comes next, including coordination with other clinicians when appropriate.
